To succeed at anything it takes commitment, without it you will

Maybe this has even come from you….”One of these days I will find a way to make my own money”…no boss, no one telling me what to do.
I will be able to take a vacation when I want to, and spend my days the way I wish.
So many people wish to work form home…If that is you, I ask you, why haven’t you found that opportunity yet?
I can just hear the answers now.

What is a leader? Many wish to be a
leader but few understand what it
takes to be a leader. These are just
a few of the many abilities you must
have to grow into a leader that can
influence and lead others.

1. A crystal clear vision

4. Be loyal

Vision and action go hand in hand. A
leader has to be able to see beyond
today’s obstacles, set long term goals
and be able to still stay in the moment
to accomplish today’s tasks.
Vision without action and action without
vision will leave you lost.
You have to have a clear vision to
sail your ship into the open sea.

Execution is the ability to follow
through and carry out the decision
long after the excitement is long gone.
Usually leaders make quick decisions,
stick to them, and are slow to change
them. This is not to say leaders never
change course.
Everyone has the choice to change
course. Leaders change course not
out of fear, but out of intuition or insight.
New challenges come in the way, and
a great leader sees it coming and
changes course…being proactive not
reactive.

Objectivity is being able to see things
as they are. Being able to see who
their team is and being able to see
their own shortcomings. Knowing
that their own shortcomings do not
define who they are…knowing that
they need to work on themselves.
They are their own best student.
They are self correctors and don’t
deal in the blame game.

Being loyal to yourself…your
vision, the journey and your team.
No room for guilt or fear..true leaders
never use guilt or fear to control their
team. Loyalty is found in love, trust
and empowering others. Be loyal,serve
others, support them to their success.

I believe that success is within the reach
of all the desire it. Leadership develops
daily not in a day. Make a habit of investing

Network Marketing is simple, but it is not easy.
It takes time and energy to build a network marketing business.
If you lead potential business partners to believe that it is going
to be easy you are setting them up for frustration and ultimately
disappointment. Be honest upfront before they get involved, and you
will be less likely to waste time training and mentoring people that
lack the desire and determination to succeed.
Anyone can do network marketing, but network marketing is not
for everyone. You will earn money for your results...no results
equals no money. Are you OK with that?

One reason why people find it so hard to find business partners
is because they just don't ask. They maybe shy or lacking in skills.
They start a business and keep it a secret.
Think of it like this...you are sitting at a table and the person across
from you has your favorite cake and your mouth is watering for a taste.
You want to ask for a piece so bad but are to afraid, shy or embarrassed
to ask for a slice. What if the person say's no, so you don't ask.
Now imagine that it is your cake and you are more than willing to share
it with the other person. How do you feel? Nice? Happy? Willing to share?
You have now given that person the joy of enjoying the cake with you.

Network Marketing is no different. You are sharing what you have so others

It's time to face it, our parents, teachers, and preachers did

the best they could. Nobody has a perfect childhood or life.

We have all had challenges to overcome. The windshield of a car

What's Your Story... MLM is about You, Not Your Product

MLM is not about products and services. I know you
have heard this so many times, but for many they just
don't get it. Please listen, MLM is about you! What is
your story? People want to know who you are before
they will partner with you in your business. If they
trust you, and feel you can guide them to their success,
no matter what the product is, or the price, they will partner
with you. So how do you write a good story about yourself ?

1. Tell them about your message, what you believe in.

2. Tell them how much you have in common.

3. Look deep inside and find your true feelings, now tell them
your pain, but only if it is something that will help them
relate to you, otherwise leave it out.

4. Tell them where you come from and who you are.

5. Write about what upsets you, part of the reason you do what you do.

6. Tell them how you are going to help others.

7. What was your life like before you started traveling the road to success.

8. Now package it into your story, and write it as if you were speaking to them.
Your story is now ready to post as your profile.

Write from the heart...your story is about you, and if others
relate to your story, they will be attracted to you and possibly
be a partner with you for life. There will be a bond created between
you. You cannot bond with a product or service, just not going to
happen. In MLM we are looking for people to partner
with us that we would like to spend time with...so show the
real you, and the people that you are meant to lead will show up.

Everyone has the ability to concentrate, but whether you will
or not depends on you. It is one thing to be able to do something
and another to do it. There is way to much ability that is untapped.
There are few successful net*work*marketers, but many ambitious
ones. Why is this? Well, every case is different, the fault usually
belongs to the person. Everyone has chances, some better than the
ones that made a success in net*work*marketing.

Think about what you want to do now, that you are not doing. If
you think you should be getting along better than you are, why don't
you? Study yourself very carefully and be very honest with yourself.
Learn your shortcomings...sometimes it is something very small that
is keeping you from success. Really think about this and uncover who,
what and why is holding you back!

There are two things that you have to have to succeed, energy and
the will to succeed. You will have to get to work and make your
conditions they will not make themselves. There are those that say
"it can't be done" and then there are those that say "it can be done"
which one are you...the one that say "it can be done" is the one that
will get there today!

The road to success will have many obstacles for you to overcome...
think AUTO, around, under, through and over. Where there is a will
there is a way. The road ahead may not be clear, but if you will think
you can and concentrate on how to do it, you will be on the right road
to success. If you think the obstacles are to many, you will not even try,
and if you do, you will not put your whole heart into it.

To0 many will not start unless they know they will succeed...this is a
big mistake. This would be correct thinking if we were sure of what we
could do..but who knows? There may be an obstacle there now and gone
next week, or maybe no obstacle now and it appears next week. Tackle
everything with the power within you to succeed. So start out your journey
with the mind-set that the road is going to be clear for you, and if it is not
clear the way.

There is no such thing as failure for the person that does their best...don't
lose your courage. Things are always changing and tomorrow is another
day. Keep your eyes open and watch for the people that are put before
you to help you on your way to success. And if you are the person you
are suppose to be, someone is looking for you...give them the service they
deserve, concentrate on them and don't let your attention wonder!

Leaders Have Vision

they know where they are heading and what
they are creating long before it arrives.
This vision goes far beyond romancing the thought
of becoming a great leader and what could happen.
Great leaders have trust in themselves, and trust
that they will make it happen!

Leaders not only inspire action in others, they take
action themselves, action brings about your dreams,
without action your dream stays just a dream!

Take a moment, concentrate on your vision, this is
your purpose, for becoming a great leader.
What does it look like...how does it feel?
Can you see and feel it..is it crystal clear in your mind?
Do you know what motivates you to do what you do?
Get your vision very clear in your mind, you should be
able to describe it to someone else.

It is not important that your vision be clear right now,
but begin today to create clarity in your purpose.
Your vision could be big or small, but for others to
connect to your dreams of the future, at some point
they must be crystal clear.

Leadership skills are very important to develop, as a
leader you will become a mentor, instilling confidence
in others. Believing in them till they can believe in
themselves. Teaching others to take actions that
will benefit them.
Your actions will set the example for your team to
follow. Never ask your team to do something you
are not willing to do.
Think about what you are looking for in a leader
yourself, and work on those qualities.

Some qualities of a great leader:

Power ~ When you are in your power, you will be
able to lead others to take action, people will
want to be around you because of your strength
and courage...this is what they are looking for.

Belief ~ Your beliefs about yourself, your business,
and the marketplace impact the results you will have.

Permission ~ The only permission you need to be a
great leader is your own. Be yourself don't pretend
to be someone you are not...do not hide behind
your ego, be your authentic self.

Self-Esteem ~ How do you feel about yourself?
Constantly grow and change...learn to accept
yourself! Self acceptance begins with creating
realistic goals you can achieve as you develop
and grow in the process. To accept yourself,
release your habits, your judgments, and your
negative self-talk ,this is a process and takes time!

Posture ~ To attract great people to lead think
"I am the leader they are looking for",
Have energy and be in control of your emotions.

Language ~ Great leaders study people and
know how to talk to them. They listen with the
heart and your team will feel this. Listen to
understand, not to be understood. The words
you use will lift your team or tear them down.

Forgiveness ~ As a leader you are putting yourself
upfront...this is a great place to be, but you are
also putting yourself in a place to get a lot of feedback,
good and bad. Forgiveness allows you to stay
in control of your emotions, past and present.

Creativity ~ As an entrepreneur it is important to
learn and teach others to step out of the box and
away from the comfort zone...the greater the risk
the greater the reward. Be creative in your business.
When your team sees you are willing to take a leap
of faith and pursue your ideas, it will inspire them to
pursue their ideas as well.

Intuition ~ Follow your GUT feeling. When a situation
comes your way, think to yourself, how do I feel
about this...what do I feel the out come will be?
This is a simple way to connect to your intuition.

Integrity ~ As a leader expect your integrity to
be tested. Your actions always speak louder than
your words. Respond to a challenge objectively,
not emotionally.

Production ~ As a leader you will be compensated
for your results, not your time. Great leaders
see the path, take it, and show their team to
take the path of results.

best interest of that person.

themselves and the money they can make...it doesn't

you MUST learn people skills and to listen carefully.

Let's be honest here, what you have will not solve, fix or

avoid a problem for everyone.

It is amazing that someone with no education or large investment

CAN become a six figure earner if they have a burning desire

deep down in their gut to be free and can let their ego go!

The benefits of owning your own business are many...but it

still isn't for everyone.

WHY?

Well, everyone has the potential to be a success, this isn't magic,

but many have to have results today, which is silly. In any

profession there is a learning curve and net*work*marketing is

no different. You have to be willing to self educate yourself

without someone always behind you pushing you along.

In a job you are used to a weekly paycheck coming in every week,

are you ok with no check coming in on Friday, just a bonus check?

You only get paid if you do the work as an entrepreneur.

For most, in their day job they look for status and recognition.

As an entrepreneur, will you be ok with not getting all the fame?

Professional entrepreneurs dream of complete freedom from the

rat race...love self development, and will not stop till their dream

becomes a reality.

Make no mistake, if you constantly need someone holding your

hand, or motivating you, net*work*marketing probably isn't

a good match for you.

You will need an entrepreneurial mindset, and if making as

much money as you desire excites you, then it may be for you!

Get ready to make some great new friends, and lose some friends.

Many of the people in your life now will not understand what you

are doing, and want to keep you from succeeding. To succeed you

must believe in it strongly, and not need approval from anyone.

When you bring someone into your business you must now be

willing to be there for them...you are now their mentor for life!

Have a duplicatable system in place for them to follow, and they

will be able to teach the people they bring in.

The system should be proven and easy to follow. Now when I say

the word easy, it means anyone can do it, but it is still work and

you will need to actually talk to people.

Success does not come from changing others...you must have a

mastermind group for self development...success comes from

changing YOU. Always work harder on you then anyone else.

As you can see, it does take a certain type of person to make

it big in net*work*marketing as a professional.

Never say "I Can't" say "I Will". To succeed at anything it takes

concentration, without it you would be unable to do anything.

Everyone's concentration level is different, some are unable to will

it in their mind long enough for it to happen. No one's will is

stronger than yours, it depends on the amount of determination

you have.

So when you are thinking "I Can't" find your will and concentrate.

It takes control to move your body, you can use this same control

to move your business. When you understand this and train

yourself you can will anything you wish. You have the control,

if your will wanders it is your fault. Don't blame it on your

will...you are not concentrating and using it right.

Your will is the same if you act as if it is weak, or strong,

your choice. When you say "I Will" you are acting with a

strong will...when you say "I can't" you are acting

with a weak will. The same effort is needed for both.

Find your strong points and make them stronger....find

your weak points and make them stronger. We are

approaching a new year, 2010, will this year be the

year you really concentrate on what you want, or

will it be just another year of frustration in your business.

It doesn't have to be, get the skills needed to be the star

you know you are.

A beautiful butterfly comes out of it's

cocoon, let's its wings dry and flies.

It doesn't have a choice, it can't fold its

wings up and go back to the comfortable

cocoon for safety.

It must come out and fly.

Now the butterfly doesn't have a choice

but you do!

The next time you are feeling stretched

and uncomfortable pat yourself on the back,

because you are growing.

If you are not stretching and feeling

uncomfortable then you are not getting

out of your cocoon.

As you are growing it is critical that you

do not judge, criticize or compare yourself

to others.

If you do, you will feel stuck and focus on

the pain of stretching, and want to go

back to your cocoon.

Treat yourself with the compassion you

would show a child that is learning to ride

a bike without training wheels.

Take a break, have a nice cup of coffee,

a walk, a deep breath, a bubble bath,

above all... be patient with yourself.

How Hot Is Your Why

If your why isn't so hot that it burns,

way down in your GUT, you will not make it.

Your why has to be a 99.9 % why!

If your why is only 70% and an obstacle

comes up that is 71% you will quit.

The fact is that in Net*work*marketing

to many people are left on the sidelines,

and never really get in the game.

Find Your "WHY"... you will need

it to get you through all the na sayers

and the people that don't want you to

succeed. Yes, I said they don't want you

to succeed. You will lose friends along

the way. Are you ready?

Here are some questions to ask yourself

to find your "why".

1. What do you get really excited about?

2. What do you love about your job?

3. What do you hate about your job?

4. What would you do with more free time?

5. What problem scares you to death that money could solve?

5. Other than money what are you looking for?

6. How important is family time to you?

7. Where have you been happiest in your life?

8. What were you doing?

9. Close your eyes, picture yourself happy, what do you see?

10. If money wasn't a factor, what would you do and where

would you go?

These are just a few...you get the idea.

So why is it critical that you do your business,

and why is it critical you succeed?

Once you get your why, treat your business like a business.

Entrepreneurs know that they cannot get

to the top without a team of people.

Operating in a vacuum will not get you there,

understanding people and building relationships

will. To lead you must be aware of why people

do what they do. There are four personality

types, and understanding them will help you

to lead others and have an insight as to what

motivates them. Imagine how much easier it

would be to communicate with people if you

could identify in a few seconds of talking to them

what they resist, what their hot buttons are,

and most important, what to listen for, to know

when they are ready to buy from you or

become your business partner.

The four personalities are

1.Yellow Motto: Let's be friends

If they were an animal they would be a Koala.

2. Blue Motto: Fun, Fun, Fun!!

If they were an animal they would be a Monkey

3. Green Motto: Let's get the facts and figures.

If they were an animal they would be a Owl.

4. Red Motto: Get out of my way!

Fork In The Road

Watch out for the fork in the road.

Many start out so excited when they

start their business...then the

uncertainty about their ability to

succeed sets in. So they start their

journey out on the road of excitement...

then in the fog they pass the sign...

"I wonder if I can do this?"

They keep walking... plugging into

others, like them, that will help

them along the road. Now they

see another sign that reads

"I have a desire to succeed."

While traveling the street of desire,

they begin to wish to make their

dream come true, and now become

motivated, consistent and take

action with a purpose.

OH NO... here it is, the street

of fear, here is where they think

"I have desires...I know I want

it...but what if it doesn't happen?"

Everything they learned so far tells

them to feel the fear and keep

moving on, so they keep traveling

along the road. Here comes the

street of anger, this is where they

say "where are the results?"

"I have been coachable, I have grown,

I took action, I started this to make

money, have freedom....and all I

have is frustration.

Finally they have reached the

fork in the road,

they see two signs... one reads,

courage and the other reads

quit now. Here is where they

must make their choice,

to keep traveling with courage,

trust and faith in themselves or

let frustration win and quit.

An employee mindset is job security, benefits and a steady paycheck every week.

This goes for the CEO down to the janitor.

They take their vacations and holidays when the Company says they can.

They take their breaks when told to, and when sick,
hopefully they have sick time... or they don't get paid if they stay home.

They work hard for their money, only to be fired at anytime with nothing to show for it.

A business persons mindset is time freedom.

They want to spend time with their family and take vacations when they want to.

They are willing to work hard and part of a team... leveraging other
peoples time and money to create a passive income for life.

They learn a set of skills that no one can ever take away, and
can create an income over and over again at anytime.

It can take 1 to 3 years to get the skills and mindset to be a true business person.

Yes, I said 1 to 3 years ... and many will never transition over.

Education is key... work harder on you than on your business.

Align yourself with like minded people that will encourage you.

Give yourself permission, and time, to make the transition
from employee to business owner... it is a process, not a magic pill.

Anyone can do it...but most will not develop the habits that are needed.

You are what you think you are .... keep the vision in your mind
where you want to go and who you want to be,
may sound silly but it's true.

The mind is a very powerful thing.

Your thoughts become your words...and your words
become your actions.... your actions become your habits...

You will need an attitude that you will no longer accept situations, people and things that hold you back.

It all starts with your thinking.

If you want something different you have to be willing to think on another level.

Change your thoughts to create new behaviors that will change your life.

Use your imagination. Image where you would like your life to go and that is the first step in the right direction.

Whatever you put in your subconscious mind it accepts as truth and can come true. Be very clear and certain with yourself.

They might sit down and rest, but they never give up. If you know where you are going, even if it is vague, getting there requires that you keep going even when you don't know what to do next. Be patient and what to do next will come to you. If you sit down and try nothing at all, you will surly fail. If you keep trying, you may fail from time to time, but you now have a chance to succeed. Your goals are worth it, you are worth it! Be committed, and take consistent action. Put one foot in front of the other and keep going. Think of a time in your life when persistence paid off. Remember how good it felt. Remind yourself that you do know how to be persistent. Put on those hiking boots and get going!
